Throughout the United States there are thousands of convalescent and nursing homes,
where individuals reside for a variety of reasons. Many are there to recuperate from
an illness before going home; some reside for 
a short time to gain strength following
surgery. However there are countless residents who have lived in these facilities
for periods of time ranging from one month to several years.
According to unofficial sources, it is possible, that up to sixty percent of these individuals may never receive a visit from an outside source, often forgotten by their family and friends. Life-Line visits all these people, talking to, reading to and, meeting many of their personal needs trough our benevolence fund when available, as we rely on individual and corporate tax deductible contributions to the ministry.
Life-Line Ministries was founded by Pastor Jim Hakes with a vision to minister in our vast Convalescent and Retirement community in San Diego County and beyond. Life-Line Ministries meets or exceeds all HPPA and California State rules and regulations regarding patient confidentiality and personal contact.

Life-Line Convalescent Ministries is a non-profit tax deductible 501[c][3] organization, dedicated to serving individuals through worship services, Bible study and personalized room visits in San Diego County convalescent, retirement and assisted living facilities.
We want to invite you as an individual, or a church, to become a valued member of Life-Line Convalescent Ministries contact us and we will be pleased to have you assigned a home where you will be able to minister to those in need. We currently have several homes requesting our services at this time. We encourage facilities in the greater San Diego area to contact us regarding our services. We also have on call chaplain services in an emergency situation.
