“Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world” (James 1:27 NKJV).

About Us—Who is Life-Line Convalescent Ministries?

Life-Line Convalescent Ministries was founded in 2000 and is a non-profit tax deductible 501[c][3] organization dedicated to serving individuals in San Diego County convalescent, nursing, retirement and assisted-living facilities.

According  to  the National Center for Health Statistics, “more  than  50  percent of  nursing  home  residents have no close relatives, and 46 percent have no living children. These two facts are a major reason why an estimated 60 percent of nursing home residents never receive visitors.”

With nearly 150 volunteers from over 20 churches, Life-Line provides non-denominational services in the form of Bible studies, church services and friendly room visitation to many senior facilities in San Diego each week. In addition, we supply needed personal items requested by residents, such as Bibles, toothpaste, socks, undergarments and wheelchairs. We also provide grief counseling.

Please help us reach out to the many lonely and forgotten individuals in San Diego County. You may volunteer your time as an individual or with an established group in your area. Or, you may request our help in forming an effective ministry group in your church.
