Life-Line Convalescent Ministries

More and more churches in San Diego County are establishing Compassion Ministries.  When visiting convalescent and retirement homes, there are rules and regulation that the State requires visiting groups to operate under.

Life-Line Ministries can assign a pastor to speak to your congregation regarding the Convalescent Ministry and help train those who will minister. Call our office to make arrangements to have a pastor assigned. We will bring you up-to-date with all the State and Local regulations. We also hold training classes from time to time, we will come to your church and train your members who take an interest in Compassion Ministry.

       For instance:

Before leaving the home, it is advisable to wash your hands in the public wash-room provided. It is also recommended that you bring your own hand sanitizer.

Always leave a room in the exact condition that it was found. If a door was closed when you entered, then please ensure that the door is closed before leaving.

Some patients are required to have their door closed at all times due to oxygen conditions. Please obtain permission to enter a room where the door is closed due to special needs such as oxygen and/or contamination.

If the patient is in a wheelchair with the brake on, then please ensure that the patient is left with the brake on.
