“Meeting the needs of the countless forgotten . . . . .”

While on vacation in Oregon in July 2010 at a 4th of July party, Pastor Jim met a young African man from Tanzania. They struck up a long conversation, sharing areas of their lives concerning Christian Ministry. The young man, Pastor Elly, told Pastor Jim of his ministry in Tanzania, where he established Victory Youth Ministry along with an  orphanage. Pastor Elly is the son of a pastor of a church in Dar es Salaam.

During their conversation, Elly mentioned that he was looking for a projector and screen so that he could show the Jesus Movie in his village. Pastor Jim was touched by his story so Life-Line Ministries purchased the equipment for Elly and had it packaged so he could take it back on the plane with him. On the first showing of the movie, 15 souls came to Christ. There have been countless others since.

Life-Line has since found out that in order to feed the children of the orphanage, Pastor Elly gets up in the early hours of the morning to milk the few cows and goats that he has. He then takes the milk into town to sell at the local market, in turn purchasing food for the children. Life-Line directors have decided to send $50 a month to Africa to help feed these little children. Just another way that your donations to Life-Line Convalescent Ministries is having an affect on not only our local area, but around the world.

Missions

Many exciting things are happening here in San Diego with Life-Line. Early December, 2010,  we purchased a fully equipped handicap van. We are now able to carry six passengers, with one being in a wheel-chair. This vehicle is in great shape with very low miles and we think that not only will it help greatly in transportation, but is a wonderful investment.
